Spray Booths Client Portfolio and Current Projects

Installed for Siemens Australia with for a joint venture project between Siemens Germany, Austria and Australia the booth was installed in Melbourne and will be providing a spray painting solutions for painting trams in the Melbourne based re-works factory. The airflow application is full down drafting with full heating operation in a spray and bake cycle modes.

The Spray Booth was designed to be large enough to re-furbish and paint two sections of tram bodies at a time. Efficiency of the system and a turn key installation was a paramount to siemens. From placement of the order to installation on site the full turnaround time was under 8 weeks ensuring siemens could maintain their tight repair schedule.

The booth will remain in operation at Siemens until 2012.

This System was Deisgned, Engineered and Installed by TRUFLOW Spray Booths for Bombardier Transport.

The design and engineering process taking weeks to complete was a close collaboration with the client and TRUFLOW's Sales team to ensure that the final outcome achieved exactly what the client hoped for. Critical areas were high airflow due to the need by the client to paint within the train body as well as outside, Highly lite environment, large scale size the addition of paint fume extraction arms and health and safety compliancy.

The result was a High Air Volume Spray Booth complete with high and low level lighting running a independently controlled electrical box with safety gear.

Two of these custom 36 meter long Spray Booths have where installed, to TRUFLOW's best knowledge they are the longest crossflow type Spray Booths in Australia.

Jayco Caravans as Australia's largest campervan manufacturer entrusted the Designed, Engineering and Installation of a unique drive through system to TRUFLOW Spray Booths: for a high airflow, versatile, drive through application a system had to be designed from scratch.

The scope of the project involved a product size of over 15 meters long and 6 meters wide. This required a oversized spray booth with a total width of over 8 meters in width and length of over 18 meters: all in a drive through format.

The products to be painted would be quite varied and the booth required the option of being fully heated at a later stage. As such a unique crossflow ventilation design was created with separated exhaust filter plenums. The final outcome was very pleasing to everyone. High Air Volume, installed outside to accommodate for space, highly lite environment and provisions for future upgrades to the system.

Safety was of course a key concern and as such the TRUFLOW Spray Booth was engineered and installed with a number of safety mechanisms including alarms and interlocks. The compliant Spray Booth not only met Australian Standards ( 4114.1 &.2 ) but had additional safety mchanisms installed that are a TRUFLOW OH&S Standard. Ensuring a safe workplace.
